How long can I stay in Canada with a study permit?

A study permit is usually valid for the duration of your study program plus an additional 90 days. This extra 90 days allows you to prepare to leave Canada or apply for an extension of your stay. You may be given conditional acceptance if your school requires you to take a prerequisite course before admitting you to the main program. In such a case, your study permit will be valid for the duration of the prerequisite course plus one year. You must apply for an extension if you do not complete the course before your permit expires.

How many hours can international students work in Canada?

International students are allowed to work 20 hours per week during the school semester. During school holidays, the work hours can be extended up to 30 hours per week.

As an international student, can I apply for permanent residency?

Applying for permanent residency in Canada is based on a points system. The work experience you gain through the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWPP) will help you accumulate valuable points and qualify for permanent residency in Canada.

Will I get an internship opportunity in Canada?
